digitalmars.D - FOSDEM 2027 (30 & 31 January) Call for Devrooms

Hi,

FOSDEM devroom submissions are now open till the end of the month.

https://fosdem.org/2027/news/call-for-devrooms/

It would be good to gauge.

1. How many people are interested in coming to Brussels on 30 &
31 January 2027.

2. Of those coming who would like to give a talk.

It would be great if I could submit a half-day proposal for a
D-themed devroom and hope it gets accepted.

In my experience being around the GCC devrooms for the past few
years, having three people be the "runners" of the room works
best.

Please express whether you have any interest in coming, and maybe
use Discord to sync up/prep the submission form.

Best,
Iain.

I would be interested in attending and/or speaking (and spreading word for folks to attend on socials). If I miss messages on Discord, please feel free to e-mail me.

Realistically it may be unlikely to get a room "just for D talks" and may include in the submission will happily share with other mixed modern languages in general that are not Rust or Go - who looking at the history typically *do* get their own rooms for a day.
