What happen to this ? Wasn't someone going to take over ? Particularly I
was looking for the D wiki doc site, but it would be great if someone kept
the Community->News and Community->Links up to date.

I don't know any more than I've read on the web, but I think they're still planning on doing this. Did you happen to miss these messages? This seems to be taking a long time. How many months does it take to weed out dead links and spruce up some html? If the original takers have gotten too busy (and that's totally ok - I have no problem with people losing interest as long as they don't keep saying they are going to do it) please send me whatever you have so far and I'll do it. I'm ben.hinkle at gmail dot com.
