The latest version - 1.6.4 - of the STLSoft libraries are released. Incorporating various new facilities, including new/better support for Visual C++ 7.1 (and 4.2!) and Watcom 12.0, and a few bug-fixes, mostly in the fixed/frame-array templates. See the readme directory in the distribution for all the details. There's a possibility that there'll be a 1.6.5 - either to include Intel C++ 7.1, or to go with Digital Mars 8.35 - but if not there'll be a lot more components and samples, and better help, in version 1.7.1 which will probably be in a month or so. For anyone that's wanting more COM/ATL/WTL stuff, this is the time to get your requests in, as that's where I'll be focusing. (There's also going to be some Managed C++ helper components, in .netSTL) btw, for those who've expressed interest in the Shims concept, but commented on the lacklustre PDFs that I have provided on the subject, you can get the full SP in August's CUJ. Non-subscriber's or impatient souls can get it at http://click.cuj.email-publisher.com/maabdUZaaYXHPa97drpb/ as it's been made the online article of the month. Indeed I do. Being necessarily obsessed with compiler versions as their pre-defined macros define them, I was referring to their internal number. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
