It was excruciating watching the second half and extra time, as the Australians gradually clawed themselves back from behind. Thank goodness for the golden boot of Mr Wilkinson. The sad thing is that I've no doubt that the English sports "community" will now become as arrogant and overbearing as the Australian one is. There was a bit of TV coverage the other day with some English fan teasing the Australian staff at Sydney airport saying some like "see this, this is a rugby ball. Do you want us to show you how to use it?". Sigh. Doh!. The Australians have won the world cup twice. Success begets smugness, I suspect. :( Anyway, it's all irrelevant. Cycling rules!
