Meaning for the GCC front end?  (porting to GCC implies porting it to
many more OSes than Linux...)

  (porting to GCC implies porting it to many more OSes than Linux...)


I know... I would like to see it on BSD (FreeBSD) I am not to crazy about
Linux...
