Hello all.

 I just found this newsgroup and remembering all the days (and nights)
i spent playing Empire on AMiga.

I tried the new version and it is just not the same. Has anyone tried
using Amiga Forever
http://www.amigaforever.com/

on a windows xp pro and then played the Original Eppire on that combo?

Thanks in advance for any reply
Jon

No kidding. I remember the same thing and have been looking around for an XP game that is as simple and addicting as Empire for the Amiga was... I would create different maps and play for hours <grin>.

Hmmm just tried it out today - same conclusion. I miss the old sounds, graphics, and game rules. Oh, and map editor too. I wonder if work still being done on the Windows version posted on classicempire.com... I'm too busy to look into the source code - don't have the free time that I did years ago (: This has been (still is) one of my top games of all time. -tg
