digitalmars.D.learn - A newsgroup accessible by google groups

reply googler nowhere.com writes:
Hi,

Is there any newsgroup on D programming language, which can be accessed using
google groups. I searched for comp.lang.D and digitalmars and so on. I could not
find them. Please let us know if you know about it.

Thanks.

This has been one of my dislikes with Google groups. There are a bunch of
others newsgroup included in the googles group, however, I have yet to find
Digital Mars newsgroup linked to google groups. I've sent about 5 emails from
different email accounts and nothing...

Something's gotta be done about having digitalmars.* newsgroups uploaded or
linked to google groups.

If you talk about readonly access we can just create custom group and someone at digitalmars.* could set up sending copy of every article to this custom group. I did so for http://groups-beta.google.com/group/psi-devel - it's readonly copy of some mailist that sometimes I like to read using google interface. Of course 'rw' access would be better. Maybe setting somehow digitalmars news serwer as this custom group member (and this way sending every copy of mail to news server) can even be done. It's just an idea, but this could work I think. -- Dawid Ciężarkiewicz | arael

Well, read-only would not be good enough. I would like to reply from there.
Also, this is a great way of getting people to know D. I was talking to someone
that has never heard of D, to my surprise, of course. So, I guess I am not out
there too much, but I was surprise to find a programmer that didn't know about
d. Having a google feed from digitalmars newsgroup would help us get the word
out and make the language better known.

Just a thought...
