Anyone can help with that though, even if you are no Debian Developer / Maintainer. See the LDC details page[0] for an overview of the current packaging in Debian. The D team maintains all its packages on Debian's Gitlab infrastructure, where contributing is quite simple. See [1] for that. The LDC packaging isn't the easiest thing to modify though, so some experience with Debian packaging and package maintenance in Git is very helpful to work on it.
