- Brad Roberts (2/19) Apr 16 2006 I guess there's something to be said for just doing it. :)
- Ant (3/23) Apr 16 2006 You don't understand, Walter asked explicitly not to be done.
- Sean Kelly (3/28) Apr 16 2006 I guess there's something to be said for doing it anyway :-)

I admit I was skeptical when Brad proposed using bugzilla to manage bug reports for D. But I was wrong. It's working out very well. I think it's becoming a big contributor to the quality of D (in conjunction with Thomas' excellent dstress), and Brad deserves the credit. -Walter

The major thanks go to the folks at netscape that originaly wrote the thing and released it to the masses and the team of volunteers that over the last many years have evolved it into a rather robust and usable system. While every bug tracking system I've ever worked with sucks, this one sucks about the least. ;) I'm happy that my weekend of work setting it and the mail/news routing is paying off. Later, Brad

Ant BTW thanks for D

Kyle Furlong wrote:Really, Kyle. That's not helpful at all. Ant has been a heavy contributor to D for years and has my utmost respect. I don't see your name as one of the /few/ people that Walter has included in his list of acknowledgments: http://www.digitalmars.com/d/acknowledgements.html Ant means well, even if it doesn't always come across perfectly. Ant has a valid point here, though it probably would have been best to leave it alone at one post. We forgive Walter. :) Have care, Kyle. I notice you like to castigate people too readily, often showing disrespect to those that greatly exceed you in age and experience. Are you willing to share your age and experience to give people a perspective of who you are and why you feel you are fit to take this roll? I doubt it. I'm not trying to embarrass you. Just encourage you to be more cautious. I've had to learn it all the hard way. -JJROK, seems that you guys don't get it, I'll explain: Walter, sometimes you are the worst enemy of D. Ant but of course, thanks for D.And sometimes, you make an ass of yourself. Oh wait, no, thats most of the time.
