I've put up a companion website for the Learning D book at learningd.org. With a domain name like that though, there's no way I can just let it be about the book. I intend to gradually add tutorial content to it as time goes by -- anything related to helping people advance their knowledge of the language. At some point, I hope to put out a call for contributors. There's nothing there yet except an introductory post and some links, but it's a start. I'll be in the States for three weeks from the middle of December. My plan is to get the set up finalized before I go so that once I can get back I can start focusing on content. I hope this becomes a useful resource at some point.

At the least, I want my book signed! :) Ali

The last I talked to him about it was shortly after I started working on the book. I promised him I'd contribute a tutorial series on a simple text-based game. Haven't heard from him since then.I intend to gradually add tutorial content to it as time goesby That is exactly what Andrew Edwards used to want to do. I haven't seen him on the forums lately though.I wish I could! I'm currently scheduled to fly out of Korea on the 18th, though I may have to push it back a few days (can't miss Christmas -- haven't been home for it since '93). And even if I could fly out a couple days earlier, I wouldn't. The new Star Wars opens in Korea on the 17th and I've already got my reservations! Korean cinemas are much more civilized than those in the States -- assigned seats and crowds that aren't screaming and shouting. The last night of Dconf 2013 I saw Iron Man 3 in a crowded cinema in Mountain View and swore I'd never do it again. There's no way I'm going to even bother trying to watch Star Wars in the States. All these years in Korea have got me spoiled.I'll be in the States for three weeks from the middle ofDecember. We'll have to swap copies in Berlin :)
