Dropping by my local Gaming Store looking for the new "Tomb Raider - Legend"
that was suppose to be out today (11.Apr.06) in the states, only to find out
that I gotta come back tomorrow for it. But anyway, while I was there I picked
the March 2006 DVD edition of the "Computer Gaming World"...and when I got home
I discovered to my surprise, that it had "Torus Trooper" v0.22 a game written
with D v0.110 by Kenta Cho...with complete executables and "D" source on the
DVD! My first thought was that this is so Kool, to see "D" on the mainstream
disc...that I just had to post my find with ya'all! :)

And about the that other game "TR-L", well, what guy doesn't like a cute chick
in "hot pant!" :P (I played the Demo and it was Kool!)

P.S. Also, here's the "Torus Trooper" web link:

Kenta Cho's sources was very worthwhile to me while learning how to interface D with SDL / openGL. His game framework was/is similar to mine, too. I think I tried to thank him by email for these once, but never got a reply. So, Kenta, if you read this : thanks ! All his games on the english page : http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/index_e.html

A short article on Cho's games was published in the biggest gaming magazine here
in Finland (called "Pelit" - "Games") a couple months back.

Naturally, it didn't mention D, but it was a pleasant surprise to me that the
games were not only open source but written in D.
