If there are folks out there that want to contribute, we have
organized issues that we want to get fixed in [github
projects](https://github.com/orgs/dlang/projects). These projects
contain important issues for our organization and are of various
level of difficulty. For example, newcomers can browse the
Bootcamp Issues project. More seasoned contributors
can take a look at the Memory Safety or ImportC projects .

Cheers,
RazvanN

I just checked; it appears the linked dlang GH projects have all been closed in the interrim? What happened? Cheers, Rune

That's the result of one of our weekly planning meetings as part of our organizational redevelopment. Previously, Razvan and Dennis were using it as a place to dump things we'd like to see done, and some projects they were actively working on. Now, the whole DLF team will be using it to track progress on our current high-level goals. Some of the closed projects may be reopened again later. We just need to get everything set up like we want it. I'll post an announcement about it next week. You can see the last update I posted, where I outlined our high-level goals, here: https://forum.dlang.org/thread/mqwhekbqqkabdvqpdppl forum.dlang.org

I should add, we've got a base set of projects in there right now, but they're marked private until we're all familiar with the interface and ready to make GH Projects part of our regular workflow (that's a huge change for most of us and will take some getting used to). We'll make everything publicly readable around the time I make the announcement.

Thanks Mike. Given the changes I've already noticed in approach and concrete outcomes (focus -> communication -> bug fixes/development), the IVY stuff sounds like it's been beneficial from a project management perspective. Colour me interested in a potential 1-on-1 chat about it and how you're applying the insights to which the tool/process led you. - Rune

Awesome. I'll get in touch soon to see when we can set something up.

They're a lot easier to manage when you have issues enabled globally (e.g. managing the day to day stuff in GitHub projects is a pain, but you can break them up into issues), which will hopefully be true sooner rather than later.
