digitalmars.D - Tango channel on IRC

Chris Miller hooked us up with a great way to utilize irc, directly from
almost any browser, with no setup at all ... just click on a link and
you're on the Tango channel. How simple is that?

It has been added to the bottom of the Tango 'contact us' page
(http://dsource.org/projects/tango/wiki/Contact), so please give it a try if
you have Tango questions and need answers in a hurry. Actually, it's worth
just trying out for fun too <g>

I don't suppose you're trying this from work and the site could be blocked?

OOPs!!! I am red faced now. I must admit that I was just clicking the link without noticing the closing ). I had to type the url in to get it to work. Now my question is: do I have to go to Mibbit or can I just use google talk? Larry

You need an IRC client. Mibbit is a web-based one, and there is a Firefox add-on called ChatZilla that works fairly well. I've also used Trillian, Miranda, and mIRC on Windows. Sean
