I don't really know what the situation with shared library support is or what 
the plans for for Linux vs Windows are in that regard except that shared 
libraries are on the todo list after 64-bit code generation. So, I was hoping 
that one of the few folks around here who actually are fully aware of what the 
shared library situation is might be able to give the fellow a far better
answer 
than I could.
