Hmmm. Interesting. D gets mentioned, but I'm unsure whether this is "good" or "bad" publicity, considering. OTOH, like politicians say, any publicity is good publicity. Heh, and at the very least, it'll get us higher on Tiobe. ;-P

I'm not sure how reliable the comments where about D's performance catching peoples eye but if theres some truth in it, just imagine how much better D would look if it could match or beat C's performance. I think its quite possible as there are still a lot of opportunities in D for optimisation and it is only a few points below gcc. Hopefully by the end of next year D will be number one in all the highly subjective code shootouts. -Joel
