1. Is there any limitation on how the design should be? Must the "D" logo be used in design? 2. Where to upload design? Any specific place? When I am bored or eating, I may open Illustrator or Photoshop for a while.

No.

Wherever is fine.
When I am bored or eating, I may open Illustrator or Photoshop for a while.
Just no food stains on the design, please. Unless they're for artistic effect. Andrei

No design is done until there's a coffee cup ring on it.

I am planning to do a design with red (or maroon) over white. Less colour, cheap T-shirt ;).

Black and white are usually the cheapest t-shirts. I think white is even cheaper. Keep in mind that the logo has to look cool on black as well, so either it can be converted to white on black, or the red looks good on black too (maybe a brighter / more intense kind of red cf. heavy metal t-shirts :-).

Ah, and SVG would be the best choice. But Walter would have to make sure which format the printers accept. You'd be surprised how backward / ignorant some shops are.

Assuming this is for the conference, last year's were dark gray
shirts from American Apparel (so kinda thin and a tiny bit
stretchy). So I suspect the printer used was pretty decent.

AI, PSD, PDF, PNG, SVG, JPG. I can generate any of them. No problem at all. I will try to upload them wiki as soon as possible. I don't know the timing until when the design should be chosen, et cetera. I am sure people has lots of ideas as well. So, we can do changes on them. I completed those designs in less than 2 hours. So, they are quick and dirty designs.

Great, thanks. Let's set the deadline to March 21, one month before the event. If other people have suggestions for tcak, or competing designs, let them known by then. Thanks, Andrei

Hello. Well, I have prepared 10 different designs, and also put 4 of them on T-shirts to be seen. Wiki requires registration etc. So, I have uploaded them to Neffie Publink. They can be found and download from following link. http://publink.neffie.com/subject/GnzYk3RAbbCNkWRPdGyGmeE1ceaFPc5xJ1m5l1LZr6vcQtbchtayo75Iawm1AG0t All of them are my designs and vector based. So, they can be updated easily. If anyone can upload them to Wiki, that will be really great. I really do not have time at the moment.

If you don't want your work to be forgotten in a week, you should upload them to the wiki.

Thanks for that Tourist. About that design, actually I was seeing those circles as people those are coming to the conference. I don't know the pricing though, if more colours won't be a problem, design can be improved. In CMYK, there is no direct red colour already. So, eventually it will need at least two colours to be used.

When I put them onto black t-shirt, it reminded me Iron Man :D

Anyway, since people needed to download again and again to see
designs, Image Preview feature is added as well. So, there is no
need to download images to see them any more.
