So did I. But googling for it, I found that the author released the 
source code five weeks ago -- ie, at the same time D1.0 was released....

Indeed, that is so cool, latest release was from 2004. I've always liked 
CE a lot, I don't know why since a lot of similar editors offer more 
features. Perhaps development will continue now in one way or another.
