I think the site is more active now than ever, so, go and sign up on the 
site and try to see if there is basis for a local group in your town!

No, but seriously, I see all kind of odd languages having their local 
groups at meetup.com, so why none around D? I think it couldbe a great 
PR thing for D as well, if they show up here, since people who join a 
group will see recommendations for (and very easily find) other similar 
groups in their town.

Wow. Haven't been here in years. Is there anyone hanging out in Eastern North Carolina that would like to get something going?
