I'm considering adding a demo or two to my talk. Does anybody
know what kind of video setup we will have?

More specifically:

* Is the conference being streamed? If so, will there be a
combined video
feed of the projector input and a video camera, or just a
camera?
* What resolution should we expect on the projector?
* What cables (DVI/VGA/HDMI/Displayport, etc) should I have
adapters for?

No.

I've asked, my guess is 1024x768.

VGA and HDMI. Andrei

Will they be recording video from the laptop(s) in addition to a
video camera in the room? I ask because giving a demo on a
projector that's being captured by a camera is not a good
experience for anybody watching the recording later.

I've relayed the question, will relay back the answer. -- Andrei

Info:
Unfortunately, I don't know what the resolution of the projectors
are. I don't think they are HD (1920x1080).

As far as recording, we are currently scheduled to shoot single
camera only in each room. There will not be any live switching
between camera and computer for a stream. For an additional cost
($30/hr) we can insert someone's presentation in post if they leave
 us a copy.

Aaand... late-breaking news from Chuck Allison himself:

The screens are 1080p. We have 3 screens in the room, running
 simultaneously. No projector per se.

Let’s do the insertion of the presentations. Our department can help
pay for it if there aren’t enough funds from the registrations. I
want to get as close as we can to the quality that Facebook has
 provided the last two years.
I guess we'll owe him one. Andrei

Wait... no streaming this time? Matheus.

Maybe somebody in the first rows can live-stream the keynotes, at least. A low-quality video or even just audio would suffice. Last year a couple of colleagues watched the whole conference in the office from 6PM to 1AM and we would like to repeat that if possible. Dragos

Also, when are the videos going to be released this time? I'd
like it on youtube as soon as possible.
