digitalmars.D - D is awesome

Hello everyone,

So I have been a lurker for quite some time, I dabbled with D on
and off, I just wanted to let you know that D is amazing and I
appreciate all the work from the community.

D is so productive, I’m trying to use it more and more for all of
my projects. It really has a sweet spot in my programming
language portfolio.

I’m planning to write a blog to give back with tutorials and also
spreading the word at least.

I’ll keep you posted.

All the best,
Max

It's great to focus on D's "awesome..ness". But don't be afraid to write articles on the non-awesome features too. A balanced focus that demonstrates critical thinking is also very benefical to the language. When I don't see that, I get suspcious of group mentality...etc. That's what I like so much about C++ ... everyone seems to hate it .. for some reason or another, while at the same time they easily find ways to demonstrate how amazing it is. That's the kind of critical thinking the D programming language can use as well.

Agreed. But I don't think D suffers from that mentality. It's the opposite: Evet in conference presentations you see complaints about shortcomings of the language, the library, and everything else. :) Strangely, even though it's bad for marketing, I actually prefer a community like this over a religious one.

I don't think they are the same group of people.
That's the kind of critical thinking the D programming language can use
 as well.
Again, we don't have any shortage of self criticism. Ali
