Matrix is a FOSS decentralized chat protocol and has many 
clients. I love it.

It will help with appeal towards younger people as well. IRC is 
old school.

rooms individually. You can find all rooms in the room directory of 
m.wfr.moe.

Sorry for the bump, but I just tried joining the community and 
Matrix is telling me that the room/space isn't accessible. Did 
the space get shut down?

The space is still operational but I think that WebFreak changed 
the space permissions somehow and now you can't join the space.
