I'm new to the D community and I'm just curious: Is the title and contents of this thread (1) just an AI prompt (or artist commission) or is it (2) about a real meeting of the core D developers perhaps? Not that such a meeting would be relevant to me, of course, since I'm both new to D and live very far away, but I was just wondering what this thread was about. Perhaps it is just an in-joke. Anyway, looking forward to diving deeper into learning/using D soon. Have a good day/night!

They have discussions not only about D, but also about other different topics. So proposal of some non-trivial topic seems a good tradition of such meetings. At least this is what I understood (never participated)

It's a real thing. We usually have about 6-10 people attending. It's a lot of fun, we talk for 3 hours and then some more in the parking lot when Red Robin ejects us. Mostly we talk about engineering. No politics.
