digitalmars.D - Booking travel for Dconf 2014

I booked mine last night, belatedly discovering that flights are full and I got
stuck with an unfortunate schedule.

I recommend that all those going to Dconf book their travel arrangements ASAP!

Also, I remember last year some people had trouble getting visas in time -
there
can be long bureaucratic delays. It's never too early to get passports and
visas
straightened out.

The preferred hotel is the Aloft Silicon Valley. Be sure and book soon!

I booked speculatively last month and the flights were already filling up. Alaska Airlines has flights every two hours from Seattle and every 3-4 hours from Portland. But the times can be pretty unfortunate... I imagine that since most colleges are winding down and graduating classes this time of year that is what is putting stress on the airline schedules... -- Adam Wilson IRC: LightBender Project Coordinator The Horizon Project http://www.thehorizonproject.org/

I hope it's only flights from Seatle that are full. IIRC I'll be connecting from Philly

There's a fair amount of commuting from Seattle - San Fran of tech workers. It's a short enough flight to make that practical.
