My proposal for a talk at ACCU 2012 showing that D and Go prove that the C++11 standard may well be the eulogy for C++ has been accepted. http://accu.org/index.php/conferences/accu_conference_2012/accu2012_session= s#Go, D, C++ and the Multicore revolution. If you are in Oxford 2012-04-24 to 2012-04-28 feel free to come to the conference. This year there is much more of a C++ and Java feel to it, probably due to C++11 and Java 7. I do like some of the additions C++11 has, like closures for example. But I do feel the same, the standard just has become too complex to master and to some extent, vendors might just cherry pick some of the features, as Microsoft is again doing in their implementation. Good luck for the conference. "Russel Winder" wrote in message news:mailman.2074.1325587626.24802.digitalmars-d puremagic.com... Steve seemed to be OK with sending a digital and paper copy without membership given that my article was in there, he should be able to do the same for you (admittedly, I joined the ACCU as it's pretty cheap for students). -- Robert http://octarineparrot.com/In a partially related note, the ACCU has gradually been publishing the entries for the D article contest in its C Vu magazine... <shamelessPlug> Mine will be in the January edition if you're interested </shamelessPlug>I don't suppose there's a way to get ahold of, or at least view, back-issues somehow?
