using the preprocessor output from ms vc++ probably isn't a good idea - you should have a look at nscore.h for some compiler capability defines: In particular you should undef HAVE_CPP_MODERN_SPECIALIZE_TEMPLATE_SYNTAX, HAVE_CPP_EXPLICIT, HAVE_CPP_TYPENAME (and probably others) for dm8.x.-sc digital mars 8.0B2n (from CD)- F1004.borland.cpp(104) : Error: identifier or '( declarator )' expected template <>
