since when can't people reply in a thread, but post a new topic about it. is
that just my outlook express doing shit, or is this for real?

it's at least very irritating to follow threads now.. :(

let's check if it's just me.

Agreed! But it is massacred by WinXP. Since I started using it about two weeks ago, it has crashed no less than 40 times :(.

don't know what some people do with their xp. take care for it, and be nice
to it, and it will thank you.

i, for one, have no crashes or problems.. i learned now why it does this
'bug', and how to prevent it. just press another button:D

now it works fine the way i want it to, again.

i could impersonate you thats what is wrong with it :)

also it takes 5 minutes for the messages to appear once they are written.

its also difficult to find message replies/starts because all the messages are
jumbled together

Supposing if this is what imr1984 meant then my reply would be: Only if your using the web interface. The only reason you need to use that is if your not on your own computer. Takes half a second on my 56k modem in Australia, for an newsgroup message to appear. Reading it through a newsreader has so many advantages to web based, it's not funny. You can also catagrise them by replies so that they aren't jumbled together. At least with mozilla and outlook you can, although outlook is less powerful in this regard.

You can do that in any newsgroup. It's just a matter of typing a name in... ;-)

As J Anderson already mention, the msg appear immed if one were reading it using a news reader rather than the web interface. The same problem can be said of using google to view usenet. It works, but one might have to wait like a day before msg appears... KTC -- Experience is a good school but the fees are high. - Heinrich Heine
