I may have an inconsistency somewhere in my D setup
(however just dl'ed and unpacked the current compiler
+ DMC tools again). It compiles fine, but I get an
access violation when running the above.

BTW: is it only me? DMD in the downloaded .64 beta
prints Beta v0.63 here.
