c++ - Linking code for ROM
I want to be able to compile C code and link with my own run-time code (written in assembler) to give a file that can be executed from ROM. The target machine has no OS, so there is no DOS or Windows or anything to worry about. The process entails separating constant (initialised) data from variable data, being able to order segments at will, linking to fixed addresses, etc. Has anyone ever done this successfully?
