c++ - DM C++ in Dr. Dobb's 10/2003

Check this out :

"Digital Mars comes off very well, featuring in the top three for language
support, compile time, and execution speed (It's about fourth on execution
size). For now, it is let down by nonstandard Standard Library support, the
occasional ICE and an outdated IDDE - but it's free and you get such good
service from its developer that these things are forgivable".

The examined compilers were:
Borland C++ 5.6, dm 8.34, gcc 3.2, icl 7.0, vc 6.0, 7.0, 7.1, open watcom 1.0,
code warrior 8.3

Great work Wolter!
